“If you want to find the real competition, just look in the mirror. After a while you'll see your rivals scrambling for second place.”

Criss Jami

At Swimworks we believe that long lasting improvement comes from understanding and implementation of technique, and a team effort by those involved in the growth and development of the swimmer.

HOW IT WORKS

With high resolution underwater cameras placed at strategic points in the pool and state of the art software that allows us to play back all cameras simultaneously in slow motion, Swimworks provides swimmers with invaluable feedback on deck. Thanks to a delayed playback feature, swimmers are given initial feedback on balance, catch, body position and more. Graphics drawn on videos in real time help visualize areas of improvement in each particular stroke, frame by frame.

After the session is complete, we make the files available to the swimmer’s coaches. We believe in the importance of having this valuable information in the hands of coaches, the ones working daily with the athlete’s development.

Our ultimate goal is to help swimmers lower their times by improving their technique. We aim to facilitate this process through our detailed analyses; ultimately it is the swimmer and coaches who, with appropriate drills and repetition, can implement changes to improve the stroke and drop times.

TESTIMONIALS

“Diego’s video analysis of my backstroke and breaststroke six weeks before the Masters Pan Am’s allowed me to improve my technique in time for the meet.  My performance was definitely improved as a result. Diego’s careful analysis of my stroke uncovered inefficiencies that I could not feel on my own. His training, USMS certification, and experience as a swimmer make him highly qualified as a coach and stroke analyst.”

- Mike Selna,

 Masters swimmer

“As an age group coach, I found Swimworks to be very helpful with determining how to help advance my stroke technique and the way I teach it to my kids. Swimworks broke down my strokes and gave them a well-thought analysis. There were some things I would not have realized I could improve unless I used Swimworks.”

- Cory Nguyen

 Coach, Masters Swimmer

“I have swum with Diego for many years and know he is a very good coach. He is exceptional concerning his recommendations to make your swimming more efficient and enjoyable through better stroke technique. He genuinely wants to help swimmers improve no matter what their swimming ability level. He has a positive attitude and manner and understands that each swimmer is unique and requires instruction and encouragement in different ways.”

- Eric Schmitt

Masters Swimmer and former Collegiate All American
